2014 Long-Term Care (LTC) home and Hospital Chronic Care co-payment increase

The approved amendments to regulations set out the annual increase to the LTC home and chronic care co-payment rates, increase the premiums for preferred accommodations in newer LTC homes, and reflect an increase in the dependant deduction amounts used in the calculation of a reduced co-payment rate for LTC home residents in basic accommodation.

The purpose of this posting is to provide general notice to the public that the list of where Sunday gun hunting is permitted in southern Ontario has been amended by Ontario Regulation 160/14 to add four municipalities at their request. This change took effect on September 1, 2014.

Regulation under the Planning Act Regarding the County of Northumberland

This proposed regulation would empower the council of the County of Northumberland as the planning approval authority for all subdivision and condominium applications within the relevant four lower-tier municipalities.

Amendment of Ontario Regulation 197/11 made under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 with regard to agricultural operations and Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark.  (source: Environmental Registry)

The purpose of the proposal is to seek public comments on the proposal to amend O. Reg. 197/11, which would continue the exemption for agricultural operations in relation to Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark set out in section 4.1 of O. Reg. 242/08 for an interim period of 14 months. The public is invited to review the regulation proposal for the 14-month interim extension of the exemption for agricultural operations. Please reference Environmental Registry number 012-1596 in your comments.

Amendment of Ontario Regulation 242/08 (General Regulation - Endangered Species Act, 2007) in response to impending amendments to Ontario Regulation 230/08 (Species at Risk in Ontario List).  (source: Environmental Registry)

The purpose of the proposal is to amend provisions of O. Reg. 242/08 in response to changes to the Species at Risk in Ontario (SARO) List. MNR is proposing regulatory amendments to O. Reg. 242/08 to make it apply generally to those species that were assessed by COSSARO in 2014 as endangered or threatened, except as specified. The newly assessed species will be added to the Species at Risk in Ontario (SARO) List no later than June 27, 2014.

Proposal to raise well licence fees payable to the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Trust.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is proposing to increase well licence fees payable to the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Trust under section 5 of Regulation 245/97, and is posting the proposed fee schedule (see below) for a 45-day comment period.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

Amending Ontario Regulation 114/94 made under the Medicine Act, 1991.

Proposed amendments to R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 761, (Milk and Milk Products) under the Milk Act concerning the application criteria and process leading to the issuance of dairy plant permits and licenses.

The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission is proposing to amend Regulation 761 under the Milk Act. The changes would be intended to clarify the criteria used by the Director appointed pursuant to the Milk Act when making decisions to issue dairy plant licenses and linkages to permits to construct or alter a building intended for use as a plant. The objective is to provide a clear and transparent process for applicants and dairy industry stakeholders.
