To consult on the MNR's proposed Bear Management Pilot Project to enable an early black bear hunting season in specific Wildlife Management Units, as part of a provincial management program intended to more effectively respond to human-bear conflict situations in Northern Ontario.

Increase to the Forest Futures Trust (FFT) charge based on indexation

In order to maintain the purchasing power of the FFT, it is proposed that MNR annually index the current Trust Charge of $0.48 per cubic meter (m3) of harvested wood using the Statistics Canada's Implicit Price Index (IPI). This proposal would take effect upon approval of the 2014/15 provincial budget.

As part of its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality, the Ministry of the Environment is proposing a regulation that would require that Ontario's diesel pool contain a minimum percentage of diesel made from renewable sources. To ensure that environmental benefits are achieved, the proposed approach includes an average greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction requirement for fuel volumes sold or used in the Province.
