The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is proposing to make regulations under the Planning Act to delegate Ministerial approval for plans of subdivision/condominium, consents and related approvals to the Central Temiskaming Planning Board, in accordance with section 4 of the Act. This would include a consequential amendment to O. Reg. 691/98 to revoke the Township of Chamberlain's delegation of authority to grant consents and related approvals.

The regulation makes every independent health facility (IHF) within the meaning of the Independent Health Facilities Act a prescribed health service provider for the purposes of the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006 (LHSIA). The change, along with a corresponding change under the Independent Health Facilities Act, is required to allow local health integration networks (LHINs) to fund IHFs.

The regulation makes Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) and every local health integration network within the meaning of the Local Health Integration Act, 2006 a prescribed person for the purposes of subsection 3(3) of the Act. Subsection 3(3) states that facility fees may only be charged to or a payment received from the ministry or a prescribed person. The change is required to allow CCO and local health integration networks (LHINs) to fund IHFs.
