The Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) and the Association of Ontario Chicken Processors (AOCP) have requested that the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (Commission) amend the cost of production formula under Regulation 402 (Chickens - Marketing), which provides for the control and regulation of the producing and marketing of chickens in Ontario.

The proposed regulatory amendments would enable most recordkeeping requirements for pharmacies and dispensing physicians to be set out in the Ontario Drug Programs Reference Manual to streamline recordkeeping requirements into one document for ease of implementation.

The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is proposing regulations under the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017. The proposed regulations, if passed, would support the establishment of a new regulator for new home builders and vendors.

The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is proposing regulations under the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. These proposed regulations must be in place before the proposed future regulator of new home builders and vendors can begin operations by February 2021. We are also seeking input to support the creation of a future regulation that could make it easier for a homeowner to submit a warranty claim to Tarion by clarifying the evidence required by a claimant.

Tarion is seeking public input on several proposed regulatory changes to support the implementation of changes made to the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act as a result of the passage of the Rebuilding Consumer Confidence Act, 2020. Changes would also support the proposed designation of a regulatory authority under the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017.
