Amendment to O. Reg. 421/12 under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 to extend the membership fee exemption for individuals who held a Barber Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) under previous apprenticeship and skilled trades legislation. The exemption will now expire on January 1, 2022.

These regulatory amendments extend the "temporary suspension period" during which temporary legislative provisions under the Business Corporations Act, Corporations Act, Co-operative Corporations Act and Condominium Act, 1998 to enable corporations governed under one of these statutes to call and hold virtual meetings, notwithstanding certain restrictions or requirements, are effective until December 31, 2021.

The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is proposing a regulation under the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017. The proposed regulation would establish a code of ethics, a discipline committee and an appeals committee - a framework that would address complaints to better protect consumers and hold licensees accountable for their action. The ministry is also proposing an amendment to the General Regulation to improve the information published on the Ontario Builder Directory.
