A new regulation under the Alcohol, Cannabis and Gaming Regulation and Public Protection Act, 1996 establishes a lottery subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to conduct and manage the province's internet gaming (iGaming) framework.
Amendments to O. Reg 78/12 under the Gaming Control Act, 1992 exempt non-gaming related suppliers and gaming assistants from requiring registration under the Act for iGaming.

We are seeking input on our proposed draft regulation for hazardous and special products (HSP), under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016, that would require producers of hazardous and special products, such as paints, pesticides, solvents, oil filters, antifreeze and pressurized containers, to collect, manage or promote the recycling or proper disposal of these products at end-of-life.

As part of government's plan to create a more competitive business environment, OMAFRA is proposing to eliminate fees of $50 or less in Reg. 18. The proposal will save businesses the cost of the fees and the administrative cost associated with the issuing of cheques.
Public protection oversight will not be reduced as a result of these changes. Businesses that were required to be licensed before would still need to be licensed. OMAFRA will also retain the legal authority to conduct inspections.
