Ontario Regulation 370/11 under the Housing Services Act, 2011 was amended to update the Household Income Limits (HILs) and High Need Income Limits (HNILs). The updated HILs and HNILs are based on information provided by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) as required under the Social Housing Agreement, 1999.

Proposal to amend Public Lands Act Ontario Regulation 161/17 to allow wood storage yards to occupy Crown lands as a free use.

We want to further harmonize our efficiency standards with those of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) so we are proposing to add five new products to Ontario's product and appliance energy efficiency regulation, and to modify existing requirements for televisions to harmonize with NRCan.

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development is proposing to amend O. Reg. 297/13 (Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training) to recognize alternative methods of fall protection training.

As a result of the implementation of the federal Safe Food for Canadians Act and regulations, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) proposes to update provincial regulations to reflect the new federal regulatory scheme, where it is referenced in OMAFRA regulations.

This proposal seeks approval to establish a second Local Forest Management Corporation (LFMC) in Ontario, to be referred to as Temagami Forest Management Corporation (TFMC), through regulation amendment under the Ontario Forest Tenure Modernization Act, 2011 (OFTMA). The Temagami LFMC would hold a Sustainable Forest Licence and carry out forest management responsibilities on the Temagami Forest.

We are proposing amendments to regulations under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 (FWCA). These proposals would streamline requirements for fur dealers, enable persons to hold both a trapping and fur dealers licence, simplify the process for airports to remove deer and elk in protection of property and public safety, and enable the use of firearms at night for dispatch of trapped furbearing mammals by licensed trappers.

We are proposing to give the Ontario Energy Board the authority to grant, under specific circumstances, earlier access to land to electricity transmission project proponents for the purpose of conducting preliminary environmental studies prior to applying for Leave to Construct.

We are proposing to implement a regular spring black bear season, shorten the Bruce Peninsula black bear hunting season, and make other minor updates to black bear regulations.

To protect animal health and ensure livestock farmers have ongoing access to designated livestock medicines, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) is proposing to replace the existing Livestock Medicines Act and Regulation 730 with a new streamlined regulation under the Animal Health Act, 2009.
