The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF) have undertaken a joint initiative to propose amendments to O. Reg. 267/03 to provide more on-farm facilities with the option to be regulated under the Nutrient Management Act instead of seeking a Renewable Energy Approval (REA) or Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) under the Environmental Protection Act.

Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is proposing to introduce a proficiency test for new truck & bus operators. New operators will be required to demonstrate knowledge of Ontario's safety laws by completing a test prior to obtaining a Commercial Vehicle Operators' Registration (CVOR) certificate.
CVOR certificates are required for operators of commercial vehicles: trucks that have a gross weight or registered gross weight over 4,500 kg & buses that have a seating capacity of 10 or more passengers
