Ontario Trillium Benefit, ONTARIO REGULATION 362/12

This Regulation provides that annual Ontario Trillium Benefit entitlements of $360 or less will be paid as a lump-sum beginning in July 2013. Currently, OTB entitlements of $240 or less are paid as a lump-sum.

Proposed Amendment to Regulation 79/10 under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is proposing to amend Regulation 79/10 under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 to permit nursing students to administer drugs in long-term care homes if certain conditions are met.

Addition of Onions to R.R.O 1990, Regulation 441 (Vegetables for Processing - Plan) and under R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing - Marketing)

The Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers (OPVG) has asked the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission to add onions sold for the manufacture of onion rings in Ontario to regulatory authorities under R.R.O 1990 Regulation 441 (Vegetables for Processing--Plan) and to R.R.O 1990 Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing - Marketing). The regulatory authorities would pertain primarily to the negotiation of prices, terms and conditions for the sale of onions from growers to processors.

Industry Proposed Changes to the Regulation that Sets the Fees Payable to the Grain Financial Protection Board under the Grain Financial Protection Program

At the request of the Grain Financial Protection Board, OMAF is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 321/11 (O. Reg. 321/11) that sets out the fees payable to the Board on the sale of grain by a producer to a licensed dealer. The proposed changes would: - increase the fees payable to the Board by soybean producers from two cents per tonne to ten cents per tonne; and - decrease the fees payable to the Board by wheat producers from ten cents per tonne to five cents per tonne.

Changes to Regulation 392, 393 and 405 under the Farm Products Marketing Act to implement a proposal to merge the Ontario's Bean Producer's Marketing Board and the Ontario Coloured Bean Growers' Association into a single marketing board.

In October 2012, white and coloured bean producers voted in favour of the creation of a single marketing board for both white and coloured beans. The proposed changes to Regulation 392, 393 and 405 under the Farm Products Marketing Act are intended to implement this direction in accordance with the regulatory proposal in the voters' package.

Proposed Amendments to Regulation 829 made and approved under the Niagara Parks Act

The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) is seeking amendments to Regulation 829/90 pursuant to the Niagara Parks Act respecting sightseeing fees and guide licences, as well as establishing an offence for unlawfully parking in a designated area where it is controlled by a parking meter or pay and display device. NPC is also proposing changes to set fines for parking offences and speeding violations established by Ontario Regulation 829/90 under the Niagara Parks Act.

Amendment to O. Reg. 667/98 (Trapping) under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act,1997 to enable harvesting of furbearing mammals by qualified youths aged 12 - 15 years of age  (source: Environmental Registry)

The purpose of this proposal is to invite comment on the proposed regulation changes intended to establish a youth trapping licence for sustainable harvest of furbearing mammals by youths aged 12 -15 years of age while under the direct and immediate supervision of a mentor that is a licensed trapper aged 18 years or older.
