The Ministry of Labour is proposing to develop a regulation that would address the conflict between the Government of Canada's Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program and the recently expanded Employment Protection for Foreign Nationals Act, 2009.

Currently, pension plans in stage 2 of the broader public sector solvency funding relief program are able to make interest only payments for the first 3 years in stage 2 and amortize the balance of their stage 2 solvency deficit over the remaining 7 years. This option is only available to plans that entered stage 2 on or before December 31, 2014. The amending regulation would extend this option to all plans accepted to stage 2.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 525/97 (Exemption from Approval (Official Plan Amendments)) under the Planning Act in order to exempt certain municipalities from the requirement to obtain the Minister's approval of official plan amendments.

Bill 14, the 2014 Budget Bill, amended the Pension Benefits Act to establish a legislative framework permitting single employer pension plans (SEPPs) in the broader public sector (BPS) to be converted into jointly sponsored pension plans (JSPPs) or merged into existing JSPPs if specific conditions, set out in regulation, are satisfied.

Regulation 400 (By-Laws for Local Boards) outlines a number of general requirements for all marketing boards established under the Farm Products Marketing Act (FPMA). The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission is proposing to amend section 6 (b), which outlines the quorum for board meetings for the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG), to reduce the number of voting members from seven to six.

The College of Veterinarians of Ontario (College) is a self-regulating body overseeing the practice of veterinary medicine in Ontario. It serves to protect the public interest in accordance with the Veterinarians Act. The College licenses veterinarians, inspects and accredits veterinary facilities and investigates complaints against veterinarians. The College is requesting a series of amendments to Regulation 1093 made under the Act.
