The approved amendments to regulations set out the annual increase to the LTC home and chronic care co-payment rates, increase the premiums for preferred accommodations in newer LTC homes, and reflect an increase in the dependant deduction amounts used in the calculation of a reduced co-payment rate for LTC home residents in basic accommodation.

The anonymous HIV testing (AT) provisions under the HPPA have been extended to include HIV viral load testing, and the Regulation under LSCCLA has been updated to include these provisions. Changes to the Regulations are required in order to protect persons who test anonymously at a clinic, to preserve the original exemption for AT in Ontario.

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is currently reviewing the statutory framework for off-road vehicle (ORV) safety in Ontario. The ministry is seeking feedback on various ORV-related safety issues from the general public, independent riders and any interested organizations including those representing recreational and non-recreational riders, enforcement, municipalities, public health, manufacturers, agricultural groups and environmental or trail organizations.

Ontario Regulation 208/09 (Tobacco - Powers of Local Board) outlines the authorities of the Ontario Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers' Marketing Board (OFCTGMB). As of January 1, 2015, some of the authorities under O. Regulation 208/09, including licensing tobacco producers and production in Ontario, are now the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Amendments are being proposed to O. Regulation 208/09 to revoke authorities of the OFCTGMB that duplicate those that MOF now exercises.
