(1) A Local Services Board is established under the name "The Local Services Board of Pellatt, Pelican, Umbach, Gidley". (2) The boundaries of the Board area are those described in the Schedule. 2013 Long-Term Care (LTC) home and Hospital Chronic Care co-payment increase

The approved amendments to regulations outline the annual increase to the LTC home and chronic care co-payment rates. The amendment also increases the premiums for residents admitted to preferred accommodations in newer LTC homes that meet the ministry's highest design standards on or after July 1, 2013. In addition, the amendment will increase the dependant deduction amounts used by LTC home residents when applying for a reduced co-payment rate.

OMAFRA is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 722/93 - Filing Dates (O. Reg. 722/93) that sets out the applicable deadline a farm business must meet in order to apply for a Farm Business Registration (FBR) number. The proposed changes: - Would extend the final deadline for farm businesses to apply for a FBR number and pay a fee to an accredited farm organization from August 31 to December 31; - Are temporary in nature in that the old filing dates would apply for the 2013 FBR Program.

OMAFRA, is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 723/93 - General (O. Reg. 723/93) that governs the Farm Business Registration (FBR) Program. The proposed changes would: - Streamline the eligibility criteria for farm organizations have to become accredited; - Contain a transitional provision that would allow the AFRAAT to apply the new criteria to existing applications; and - Are temporary in nature in that the old eligibility requirements come back into force in one year.

The amendment will increase the comfort allowance from $132/month to $134/month effective November 1st, 2012. The increase in comfort allowance is aligned with the 1% increase to the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) personal needs allowance (PNA) and is intended to support low income residents by allowing them to maintain adequate resources to cover their personal needs above and beyond the meal and accommodation services funded through the co-payment.

Amendments to Regulation 391 (Asparagus - Plan) and Regulation 390 (Asparagus - Marketing) to revise the way a marketing board is constituted and to change its name to the "Asparagus Farmers of Ontario".

The Ontario Asparagus Growers Marketing Board has asked the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission to change its official name to "Asparagus Growers of Ontario" and also for changes to the way it is constituted. The requested changes are in response to the declining number of producers and the concentration of the industry in the Norfolk area and would require amendments to Regulations 391 and 390. The Commission supports the requested amendments.

The Ministry of the Environment has implemented an Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) as part of a client-centered approach to service delivery for its new environmental approvals program. It allows businesses to register prescribed activities in the EASR. Effective October 28, 2012, the Ministry will be introducing a $1,190 registration charge to register an activity in the EASR.

Proposed Amendment to Regulation 909 under the Pension Benefits Act Filing Extension for Certain Pension Plans in the Public Sector and Broader Public Sector

This proposed regulation would extend the filing deadlines of eligible pension plans in the public sector and broader public sector. Eligible plans are those that meet certain criteria (as indicated in the Summary of Proposal section below) and must file a section 14 report required by the regulation under the Pension Benefits Act due on or after June 30, 2012 and before February 28, 2013. The filing date for these plans would be extended to February 28, 2013.

Industry proposed changes to the Grain Financial Protection Program

At the request of grain industry stakeholders, OMAFRA is proposing amendments to the regulations governing the Grain Financial Protection Program. The proposed changes would: allow deferred payments of any duration under the Grains Act; increase the time for dealers to make payments on sales from storage; lower the initial percentage payment on basis contracts; increase the compensation for canola and soybean producers; and allow compensation related to deferred payments on a sliding scale.

Amendments to the Gaming Control Act, 1992 (GCA) in Schedule 17 of the Better Tomorrow for Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2011 permit the development of a new risk-based regulatory framework for gaming. These proposed regulatory amendments under the GCA would replace the existing four regulations with one comprehensive regulation that would provide a more flexible regulatory framework to allow the AGCO to better focus on risks to the integrity of gaming and accommodate new forms of gaming.

Amendments to Regulation 761 (Milk and Milk Products) under the Milk Act - Rejection of cow milk at the farm and dairy plants based on milk temperature.

Proposed amendments to Regulation 761 (Milk and Milk Products) under the Milk Act would provide Milk and Cream Graders with the ability to reject tanker loads of cows’ milk based on a prescribed maximum temperature at time of delivery to a dairy processing plant. The amendments would also replace existing requirements for refrigeration equipment with new milk temperature requirements for cows’ milk in on-farm bulk tanks.

Proposed Regulation Amendments to Professional Development for Land Surveyors

Under the Surveyors Act, the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) is proposing changes to Regulation 1026 under the Surveyors Act, which if passed, will require mandatory reporting, establish a minimum acceptable level of continuing education by members of the Association and provide flexibility to the Academic and Experience Requirements Committee of the AOLS to waive a term of articles for professional surveyors with equivalent experience.
